3. Where will I receive the funds from Escrow.com?
You will receive the funds directly into the bank account you specified during the escrow setup process on Escrow.com.
4. Can I sell games anonymously?
Yes, you can sell games anonymously. Gamehaap ensures that detailed information about the games and the seller is only shared with verified buyers under an NDA.
5. Who pays the Escrow.com fee?
The payment of the Escrow.com fee depends on the agreement between the buyer and seller, but typically, the buyer pays it.
6. How does the communication process with the buyer work?
Gamehaap manages all communication between the buyer and seller to ensure clarity, security, and efficiency. This approach helps maintain confidentiality, reduces misunderstandings, and ensures that both parties are fully informed throughout the process.
7. Can I list a game that doesn’t generate revenue?
We only list games that are generating revenue. If your game is pre-revenue, it is advisable to acquire a few paying customers first. This will make it easier to attract serious buyers and potentially secure a higher asking price.
8. Is an LOI legally binding?
An LOI (Letter of Intent) is not legally binding for the entire transaction but may include legally binding terms such as a mutual NDA or a “no-shop” clause. Our LOI template includes a “no-shop” clause to prevent the seller from negotiating with other buyers once they’ve accepted your LOI. If you have any doubts about your obligations under the LOI, please consult a legal professional.
9. How should I respond to an LOI?
If you are satisfied with the LOI, confirm with us and we will assist you through the next steps. If you reject the LOI, provide feedback to us and consider discussing or negotiating new terms.
10. Will I receive other buyer requests while under an LOI?
To be fair to all parties, we do not deliver requests from other buyers while your game is under an LOI. However, you can cancel the deal at any time if you are unhappy with the LOI and seek a more suitable buyer.
11. What is Gamehaap’s pricing for sellers?
Gamehaap charges an 8% commission on each successful sale.
12. How are game valuations done in practice?
Game valuations are typically based on a combination of financial performance, market potential, user engagement metrics, and other relevant factors. Gamehaap provides expert advice to help determine a fair market price.
13. Should we sell games as an individual or as a business?
Both options are possible. Regardless of how you sign up and create your profile, you can verify the party (individual or business) you want to authorize for the acquisition process during the buyer verification stage.
